Since 2007 AS SEBE, in cooperation with the partner in Russia OOO “NIVA”, has operated the International bus line nr 913 Võru – Petseri. Unfortunately AS SEBE unable to continue with this line due to the small amount of passengers. Since December 1st the line is  closed.

Estonian government pays compensation for Petseri Monastery

Compensation paid to Orthodox Church of Estonia digs up memories of continuity splits between the two orthodox churches active in the land.
Pursuant to ownership reform and principles of legal continuity, Republic of Estonia pays compensation of about four-five million euros to Orthodox Church of Estonia for the Petseri Monastery, remaining on Russian territory.

Road to Estonia will be reconstructed

The first phase of large-scale project "Safe Road" started in Pechory. On March 28th, a competition among road-construction companies for the reconstruction of a 610 m road section in Pechory was announced.  In the framework of the project a 19.1-kilometer road from Värska to Pechory will be renovated.

On November 29th, a seminar "Teaching in a foreign language as one of the challenges of education in the XXI Century" was conducted in Pechory linguistic gymnasium. The seminar was attended by the Head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Estonia Irene Käosaar and the director of Narva College of Tartu University Katri Raik.
